A weekend at the famous Jade Mountain, Soufriere, Saint Lucia.

This was a short and sweet weekend getaway and every minute was worth it.  Sometimes you need that short break and saint Luca is no far away.  With so many nonstop flights, a quick weekend is very easy and so worth it.

Did you know that Saint Lucia has two Nobel Laureates and they were both born on January 23rd?  With a population of a little under 170, 00 the island is beautiful, with turquoise waters, pristine beaches, unique hotels and two geniuses that have the same birthday.

One of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean and it is my country of birth and I know every nook and cranny you need to know about having a blast during your visit. From where to stay, to where to eat, and what to do, I will give you some insights.

Flying into Saint Lucia from the USA is very easy and quick.  There are nonstop service from Miami, Atlanta, John F Kennedy, Boston Logan and Charlotte, Dallas, Philadelphia and Newark, So getting to Saint Lucia for a quick weekend getaway is an absolute must.

My quick getaway was a blast, I wanted to do something different and it was a blast, I stayed at the Jade Mountain and had a sanctuary with my very own infinity pool.  This was one of my most relaxing getaways.  I highly recommend that you include “A getaway to Jade Mountain” on your bucket list.

The entire experience at Jade was awe-inspiring. From the quick, no fuss check- in with refreshing mint scented cold towels, to the welcome drink that you have to ask for seconds and thirds, and to the smile of your own personal butler waiting to whisk you to very own your sanctuary.

My sanctuary was everything I expected and more.  I spent the first night in a Star Infinity Pool Sanctuary.  I was happy because it was green and green is my favorite color, yes that was important.

I was very fortunate to sample the all-inclusive menu, and it is highly recommended for your stay.  Everything is included except for a few liquor items that am sure you can live without or in my case, did not know existed.  Room service is a must at least for one meal, as it allows you to spend more time in your beautiful sanctuary.

The first night, my butler me at exactly the time requested, he was not a second late.  This is what we called service. Dined at the Jade Mountain Club, this was dining taken to new heights, literally.  Watched the sunset then dined under   the stars.

During the last of the 4 night stay, I was excited to be upgraded to what we called “Heaven on Earth” JD1 to be exact.  This room is one of the highest categories of the Sanctuaries and has the most impressive panoramic views of the Pitons.  The category is called Galaxy and you have to request the Galaxy.
